Lista completa de nominaciones para los MTV VMAs 2023: Taylor Swift lidera con 8 nominaciones

¡Nominaciones MTV VMAs 2023 reveladas! Taylor Swift acapara con 8, seguida de SZA con 6. Beyoncé, Doja Cat y más artistas compiten en emocionante lista de candidatos.

MTV reveló hoy martes la lista completa de nominaciones para los Premios MTV Video Music Awards 2023, que se llevarán a cabo el 12 de septiembre en el Prudential Center de Newark, Nueva Jersey.

Taylor Swift lidera el camino con un total de ocho nominaciones, seguida por SZA, quien obtuvo seis nominaciones. Ambas artistas están nominadas en la prestigiosa categoría de Video del Año, por “Anti-Hero” y “Kill Bill”, respectivamente. Junto a ellas, los videos “Attention” de Doja Cat, “Flowers” de Miley Cyrus, “Super Freaky Girl” de Nicki Minaj, “Vampire” de Olivia Rodrigo y “Unholy” de Sam Smith y Kim Petras también están en la contienda por el premio principal.

Beyoncé recibió una nominación, ya que no lanzó ningún video relacionado con su álbum Renacimiento. La exitosa cantante está nominada para el Artista del Año, junto a Doja Cat, Karol G, Shakira, Minaj y Swift. Por primera vez desde que la categoría se introdujo en 2017, todas las nominadas para el codiciado premio de 2023 son mujeres.

Swift (“Anti-Hero”) también está nominada en la categoría de Mejor Dirección, junto a Kendrick Lamar (“Count Me Out”). Ambos artistas han ganado anteriormente el título por videos musicales que dirigieron o co-dirigieron. Swift obtuvo el premio por “The Man” en 2020 y “All Too Well (The Short Film)” en 2022. Lamar, por su parte, ganó la categoría por “Alright” en 2015 y “Humble” en 2017.

Es importante destacar que 35 artistas recibieron su primera nominación este año, incluyendo a Ice Spice, Flo Milli, PinkPantheress, Boygenius, GloRilla y Reneé Rapp, entre otros. Los VMAs también añadieron una categoría este año para el Mejor Afrobeats, con nominaciones para Ayra Starr, Burna Boy, Davido y Musa Keys, Fireboy DML y Asake, Libianca, Rema y Selena Gomez, y Wizkid y Ayra Starr.
